I started receiving pre-natal massage from Amanda halfway through a very challenging third pregnancy. I was told shortly after 20 weeks that my baby would have to have open heart surgery immediately after he was born. It was very important to me to stay positive and give my baby all the loving energy I could to grow big and strong so he could have the strength he needed to endure all that might lay ahead. I spent several years as a massage practitioner myself, so I would be the first to admit that I am particular about massage and, especially while pregnant. Amanda is the best!!! I don’t know how I would have gotten through the pregnancy without her. Her massage kept my body supple and her energy kept my spirit strong. My baby was born 9lbs 10oz ready for this world... He had his surgery and came home in less than a month. I am truly grateful for her skill and support.

Prenatal & Postnatal Massage

Offering healing through bodywork is one of the many ways I am able to connect with the mothers I am guiding through pregnancy and labor as well as the family and loved ones supporting them. I offer prenatal massage as well as integrated healing massage in which I integrate techniques I have studied in my past 11 years as a massage therapist to bring about physical and energetic  balance.

Prenatal massage is a technique involving deep bodywork and stretching designed to improve your circulation, take some of the strain off your muscles and joints, and  re-energize you.

Studies show that massage can reduce stress hormones in your body and relax your muscles and joints. It  also increases circulation, which is so important when you're pregnant, and keeps your lymphatic system working at peak efficiency, flushing  toxins from your body. And it reconnects your mind and body, and the body of the little one growing healthy inside of you.

During pregnancy, regular  massages may not only help you relax, but may also relieve insomnia, joint aches, neck and back pain, leg cramping, and sciatica. Additionally, it can reduce swelling in your hands and feet, and alleviate headaches and  — all common pregnancy issues.
